At this month's Chamber Breakfast Meeting we will be "Celebrating Saugerties" at the Diamond Mills Hotel & Tavern in Saugerties. Guest Speakers will include Town Supervisor Fred Costello, who will discuss the many reasons why Saugerties is a great place to live, work and raise a family. He will also be introducing the owners of Winston Farm, who will detail plans to transform the 800-acre property into a premier mixed-use destination venue for the Hudson Valley.
This project will preserve the rich history of the Winston Farm by retaining about 400 acres - half the property - for preservation, which will include public parks, wetlands, and trails. The remaining land could accommodate a mix of uses that would create jobs and generate tax revenue, including multi- and single-family housing, shared water and sewer infrastructure, an amphitheater, boutique hotel resort, agrihood/technology park, commercial and cabins, and campgrounds. The project team is comprised of local Saugerties business leaders John Mullen, Tony Montano, and Randy Richers.
Chamber Breakfast Meetings are a great way to network with other local business leaders and stay on top of current events.
