The Ulster Chamber, in partnership with Ulster County Tourism, will be hosting the Inaugural Ulster County Black Business Achievement Awards and Community Connect on Wednesday, June 15, 2022, from 5:00 – 8:00pm. Everyone is invited to join in the celebration as we honor Black business and community leaders from the past, the present and the future.

This exciting evening will commence with Elder James Childs opening the ceremony in prayer, followed by spoken word shared by Nya Speller, Ulster County Storyteller.

Entertainment will include performances by Energy Dance Company, A community Gospel Choir, led by Pastor Doris Schuyler, will be singing through the evening.
Barbara Allen, Author, and Entrepreneur, also a sixth-generation descendant of Sojourner Truth, will be a guest speaker at the event. Following the ceremony, Barbara will be available for a Meet & Greet and Book Signing.
Attendees will have the opportunity to tour the USB facilities to learn more about local individuals and organizations that are making a difference in our community.
