MAPLE FEST IS TWO DAYS OF TREE-TAPPIN’, TOE-TAPPIN GOOD TIME
There’s syrup and live music and blacksmithing and nature hiking March 9th and 10th, 10 am to 2 pm both days.
It’s Maple Fest at the Ashokan Center! Our experts will lead you on a forest hike to the sugaring shack, where we tap the trees and boil down the sap to make real maple syrup. You’ll be able to taste it, too, as part of our pancake breakfast. Syrup is also available for purchase at the gift shop or online.
Live music indoors will include bluegrass by On the Trail (both days), piano pop by Jeremy Schonfeld (both days), and fiddling by Strawberry Wine (Saturday) and Strawberry Hill Fiddlers (Sunday).
While you’re here, visit the Blacksmithing Shop for demonstrations where for $20, you can forge your own take-home blacksmithing project, and the Instrument Petting Zoo, with a selection of musical instruments to hold and try!
