DESCRIPTION:Join the Resource Center for Accessible Living (RCAL) for the Jim Garvey Memorial Disability Resource Fair on Saturday\, October 24\, from 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM at 35 Pearl St.\, Kingston\, NY 12401.\n\n\n\nThis free community event brings together 20+ nonprofit organizations and community resources offering information\, services\, and support for people with disabilities\, families\, caregivers\, and the community.\n\n\n\nThe vendor fair runs from 10:00 AM 2:00 PM\, with the first hour designated as a Sensory Safe Hour\, offering a quieter\, slower-paced opportunity to connect with vendors and resources.\n\n\n\nFree workshops and activities will take place throughout the day\, including topics such as dementia and caregiving\, self-advocacy\, school refusal\, and preparing young campers with disabilities for summer camp.\n\n\n\nChildren and teens can also participate in activities including Adaptive Dance\, Music for All Ages\, and a Teen Disability Pride Power Hour.\n\n\n\nFor the first time\, the fair will also feature a small wheelchair repair clinic for minor repairs.
